We aggregate that data and make it available to third parties to be used for various marketing applications. The purpose of this is to improve our clients’ marketing and customer relationship programs. Because information is critical to our business, privacy and security are fundamental design requirements in our services and business. The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to help clients, partners and consumers understand what information Networked Insights collects about consumers, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices consumers have over how their information is used.

What information we collect

The types of data Networked Insights collects includes, but may not be limited to, social behavior such as content posted publicly online or brands followed, and demographic, interest, geographic and other types of individual and household level data, including but not limited to the number of people in household, etc. Networked Insights does not collect what we regard as sensitive information such as detailed financial records, credit information, medical records or Social Security numbers. We do not knowingly collect data for marketing purposes from anyone under the age of 13. Where it is possible for us to identify that someone is under 13, we remove those records from our databases. Networked Insights does not track third-party web browsing behavior or search history.

How we collect information

We generally do not collect consumer personal information directly from consumers for use in our products. We collect such information from publicly available sources, such as publicly available websites and social networks, and through agreements with trusted data providers. Networked Insights uses consumers’ personal information to provide marketing and advertising services to our clients. In addition, we may also use consumer personal information to:

  • Verify an individual’s identity when responding to consumer requests;
  • Support or troubleshoot our services;
  • Investigate violations, enforce our policies or maintain the information security of our products and services;
  • As required by law or to comply with a legal or governmental request.

With whom we share information

Networked Insights only shares individuals’ personal information with organizations with whom we have a contract and that agree to process the personal information we share with them in a manner consistent with this Notice and applicable law. Such organizations may include but are not limited to data brokers, retailers and service providers. We share personal information with these organizations for use in their marketing, fundraising, outreach and customer service programs.

We retain consumer personal information for as long as it’s needed to serve the use for which it was collected and to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our policies.

At Networked Insights, we believe consumers should have choices regarding how data about them is used. For this reason, Networked Insights offers consumers certain rights where applicable and legally required, commonly referred to as Data Subject Rights.   • Restrict processing: Networked Insights offers consumers the right to request that we restrict the ways we process the personal information that we hold on them, for example, if you opt out of our services, we will no longer use your personal information for marketing services, this includes sharing it with or selling it to third parties.

However, we are unable to correct, delete, restrict or otherwise change how your personal information is used if it has already been shared with a third party as permitted by this Notice.  To submit a Data Subject Rights request, please email Networked Insights will respond to all requests without undue delay and not later than 45 days after we receive a request. In some cases, where necessary, we may extend the response time by up to 60 days.
